Some FAQ’s about custom works:
WHAT KIND OF INFO DO I NEED TO PROVIDE FOR AN INITIAL CUSTOM ENQUIRY?
This is a great question, you can enquire with a very basic idea of what you are after but I find that it is super handy if you first have a think about a few key things: What is your budget? What is your ideal timeline ( ie: is it for a gift that needs to be ready on a particular date? ) What colours you are thinking of? OR more importantly think about what colours you definitely don’t want to have incorporated. Think about looking through my instagram and through my website and take any screen shots of past works that jump out at you that we can use as a reference point. Feel free to also send through any other mood images that you have come across or photos of the space you are going to be displaying your custom piece or anything you think might help to conjure up ideas. Better yet if you’re a total visual nerd like me you might even like to put together a little mood board (obviously this is totally not necessary by any means but hey if that’s your jam I respect that!- Anything goes!)
HOW DOES THE INITIAL CONSULT WORK?
Once we have bounced a few ideas back and forth by email, if it feels like we are in sync with our ideas I will invite you for an initial consultation. During this consult we will talk in more depth about your ideas, I may sketch a couple of design for you to consider, we can make colour selections or at least narrow down options for you to consider.
If you live in Melbourne you can opt to visit my studio space for an in person consultation. I always prefer an in person consult as we can really work through options and ideas surrounded by a-lot of useful reference points in my studio. If you are interstate or overseas, fear not! We can arrange to meet over a video call or liase via email.
WHEN DO PEOPLE USUALLY OPT FOR CUSTOM?
I have clients who invest in custom works for a variety of reasons. Whether a special gift for a milestone birthday, a gift to mark an occasion such as a wedding or retirement, a resting place or memorial piece for a passed on loved one or simply your DREAM vase to go in that very specific spot in your newly renovated home.
If you’re an interior designer perhaps you’re looking for that final bespoke touch to round off a project? Perhaps you’ve seen an existing or past design that you love if only it was a specific colour or size. Get in touch I am happy to explore how I can create the exact piece you are after.

DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM SPEND FOR CUSTOM WORKS?
Yes, the minimum spend for custom works is $500.
Custom works do incur a small customisation fee which covers me for the consultation, designing time and for breaking away from my usual production run to create special one off pieces.
WHAT IS THE USUAL TURN AROUND TIME FOR CUSTOM PIECES?
The usual turn around time for custom works is 6-8 weeks from the time the deposit invoice has been paid. I will send the deposit invoice once we have agreed upon a final design and you are happy for me to go ahead with the making process. Your order is not officiated until the deposit invoice has been paid. From time to time ceramics can be quite a fickle medium to work with so in the unlikely case that there’s a situation that arises where I need more time to create your custom piece, this change to timeframe will be clearly communicated. If you have a specific date that you need your order to be received by, consider how many weeks you have until the date. You are always most welcome to ask me if I can fit your idea in even if its a slightly short turnaround time, depending on what you are having made will depend on how much time I need.
